Hello all,

Please help me grade this 42 S dime, also want to know if this would be considered "full bands"

A sidenote - interesting "floating leaves" - I'm guessing grease. Circled in yellow on last picture.

Comments/Grade/Full Bands? THANKS!

Wait to hear from the experts.

I'm new at this, so I looked it up and it seems to me that your coin is MS60-something.

That floating branch is some kind of error because the coin is not worn anywhwere else. It may be unique!

The floating branch is a die polishing error. Fairly common on Mercury dimes, particularly S mint ones. You might notice "die burn" (a mirror-like patch) in some of the polished areas.

I see quite a few marks, but I don't see any clear wear and plenty of luster, so maybe MS62 or so. I see bridging on the central bands, so not quite FB.

I agree that the coin does not look like it has any wear. I will guess MS-63 but I think this will just miss FB.

Nice coin!

Its not FB but its still very nice. The obverse seems near perfect while the reverse has its fair share of scratches and dings.

good MS 62
