Not sure if I posted this before, but I picked up a couple more rings this past week. I asked a few local shops to hold some for me, if they look nice. They let me have them for right around what they would sell them for. So it is really like putting away gold. Just the kind my wife likes.

The most valued thing a wife looks for is to be in a happy relationship.
That beats PM's any day, but one evidence of a happy relationship may be with what you have shown here, At least, she may perceive that as supporting evidence.
By themselves, they would be useless.
I am a gemcutter. I have cut a fantastic emerald, and have set it between two golden yellow shoulder sapphires, that I have also cut, into a ring.
I decided on a green and yellow theme, because they are the Aussie green and gold athlete's colours, when Australia competes in the Olympic Games.
The daughter likes it so much that she has incicated that she would like to own it eventually. Why? Because Dad cut the stones!

Some of those are quite nice looking Goldrush :) I think your wife would be very happy.
I think the bright Blue and the big Pink ones are the nicest looking.

That a nice set of rings for sure. I do like the princess cut Ruby and the Emerald right behind it. I am lucky in the fact that my wife can be made happy with an ASE, silver Panda/Aussie Lunar, or any size gold Panda, or classic U.S. gold coin. Of course she will not shun any one of those either I might add.

The best Christmas present my husband ever gave me was an Opal pendant set with Tanzanite in gold. He suprised the heck out of me too! Never suspected a thing.
However in general I don't get to wear a lot of jewelry thanks to my job. It is absolutely forbidden to wear rings or bracelets, and necklaces must be able to be tucked into the shirt and cannot be very long. This makes a lot of sense, seeing as how I work in Automotive Manufacturing.
Still, sparkly gemstones in gold or silver makes me salivate as much as a nice coin. Must be a girl thing!

Don't want anyone's hand pulled into a place filled with sharp high speed edges. As to the rings in the above photo, I agree that they would make for some very fine "wife bait". I've had good luck using just such baubles. Sometimes, even the less expensive ones are very well received. My wife's two favorites are a 2 caret blood-red garnet that I had a jeweler mount in a gold setting for her and a 6 caret aquamarine that I bought for her at a wholesale jewelers show and that she had set in a white gold setting. Both are gorgeous.
