I am assuming this a a 1929 Half Penny from Great Britian. I do not collect British coins but I was given this half penny from a friend. I would like to know exactly what this coin is called, its grade and approximate value. Oh and is it rare or common date.

Thanks.

It is indeed a British half penny, also spelled halfpenny or abbreviated ha'penny, pronounced "haypenny". Its hard to see the details through the plastic, but I'd guess somewhere around gVF?
