EgCollector, please check your e-mail. I have a bunch of dimes and nickels to send you for your collection.
I have all the dimes on your want list except for the 1992P and 2011P. If someone on the east coast could send them to me I will pack them in your parcel to Egypt and you will be up to date with your dime collection.
Also, I'm missing the 38 D&S, 39D&S, 2001P, 2008D and 2009P Nickels for you. If anyone has extras of those, especially the last three ..... I could get them off to you and you'll only be missing the oldies.
We will do what we can to help you with your collection.

I have just returned from the post office from sending off to you the promised coins. captainfwiffo sent me the coins I was missing for you and they're all sent together in one parcel. I don't know how long a parcel will take to arrive to Egypt, but I hope this helps you with your collection.

Ken, Thank you very much for the update. It usually take about 10 to 14 days to reach Egypt. I am very excited to receive this package as it will complete the 3rd set and make me 4 coins short to complete the 4th.  Thank you and captainwiffo very much for your help and your generosity. Much appreciated. I will let you know once received. |

Well, it only set me back 35 cents, and I'm always looking through dimes and nickels anyway. Actually, the postage was more than the coins. We gotta get you started on some of the classics now that you're closing out these modern sets. Hmm, maybe I should actually finish some sets myself! |

I just took a look in my Red Book to see what are the classic sets and they are frightening  I was thinking of Franklin halves or my be SBA or IKs but to complete any set of classics while living in Egypt ... this would be mission impossible |

I assembled a set of Buffalo nickels for less than 20 bucks (see my sig) so some of them are within reach with patience. |

A very nice project you had there. I opened my Red Book and it says that in G-4 a 1914 is $16 and a 1914D is $80 and there are other dates within the same range....buying Buffalo nickels in lots and restoring dates is not easy for me to do while living in Egypt. Are restored nickels considered cheaper than G-4 ? |

 Thanks to matchbox and captainfwiffo I have received all the remaining dates on my dime list and some of the Jefferson dates too. You can get dateless ones for about 15-20 cents apiece, and then pick out the partial dates and restore dates to build a set. It would be hard from overseas, but it didn't take me long, so it should be possible if you're patient. |
