I am glad you enjoyed them.
The other day, I ran across images of the raw Dansco book. Obverse and reverse images.
Some coins were sold prior to,the images were taken, I am sorry to say. But I will look around - send the pics to Photobucket and repost here.
Until then, Happy Hunting !!

I just bought a raw 1917 D Type 1 MS63 FH. I can't wait to see it. Your collection got me off the fence on collecting SLQ's. Next up are a 1917 and 1917 S Type 1's, both FH both in the MS64 range. After that I have to take it easy for a little bit. I found too many early year higher grade WLH's recently.

Slow and steady, my friend, go slow and steady. Before you know it, the set is just about complete.
Have fun looking... Although these coins are not cheap they are not that Prohibitively rare either. You should look as long as you can before making a purchase. Don't get burnt out after making a large group purchase.
Take your time, remember it's a hobby, not a race.

Thanks and I agree. I just need to get a few at the start to see how far I want to take it. I'm kind of picky so that limits my choices too. This is going to take many, many years to complete.

That 1916 is incredible. I like the toning on the 1919S. Almost looks FH but with the toning it is hard to tell.

I agree completely with Elbesarr it is a hobby and not a race. I am trying to build a high end set of gem + BN wheats from 1909-1920. I have limited funds which does few things for me. 1. It forces patience to wait for the right coin 2. It keeps me from getting burnt out, bored or burned 3. I may not have many at this time but it does ensure your collection meets your standards. I have viewed multiple more examples to compare with than I own. Here is a pic of my only SLQ I bought this coin from Mark Feld ![Anyone-Working-On-An-SLQ-Collection-[-1916-1930-]-?](http://i835.photobucket.com/albums/zz271/jimstar2009/quarter1929ngc65FHlast.jpg)

I would do a set of SLQs if I could afford it. Sadly I can't The only SLQ I have is a 1926-S in my type set.

Over the next month I plan to add 3 SLQ's to my type set. A type 1, type 2 and later date type 3 when they changed the date. I am buying raw coins that are being sold as Full Head. I will send them to PCGS and see what they say so I have a baseline for FH. That brings me to my question: Has anyone submitted FH Standing Liberty Q's to PCGS? If so do they automatically look for and grant FH or do you have to submit the coins as a variety such as the VAM's, etc? Thanks.

TPG22....
I have only submitted precertified SLQ's to PCGS - and when I think the coin does qualify for a FH, I put that PCGS number on the sub- mission sheet.
ie: # 5706 is for a Non FH - 1917 Type One & : # 5707 is for a Full Head - 1917 Ty One
If the coin is no where near a FH, just use the regular #, but, if you feel confident ( not just lucky ) it's a FH, why not use the FH number on the submission ?
If you are overly optimistic - as many of us are - they'll be happy to bring you down a peg or two.
Good luck !

Thanks Elbesaar. I had not looked close enough to see two seperate codes. I will most likely post an image here first to see what the "brain" thinks.
