A lot of you on here are probably MC members, but for those that aren't, I noticed that I've been charged shipping on the last 2 20/20's I've received, I subscribed to the 2014 20/20's earlier this year. That subscription now has free shipping. I sent the RCM an email about this and asked for a refund on the shipping, and got this reply: "Thank you for contacting the Royal Canadian Mint. With regards to your inquiry, please note the free shipping incentive is only available for orders being placed at that time at is not retroactive to prior orders." So I get shafted by subscribing early? If they offer free shipping on a subscription, that should apply to all active subscriptions, not just new ones. If I would have noticed this earlier, I could have cancelled the subscription and re-ordered it. I'm pretty much done with the RCM, at the very least I'll never order a subscription again.

I don't mind paying shipping if it's disclosed (the ad I clicked on said "free shipping")...one step further, it's $12.99. Excessive in my opinion. I'll buy one on ebay and pay $3.50 a month from now.

Yes I'd agree that their marketing the value of $20 for $20 a coin is misleading due to the difficulties in redeeming them but removing that part out I would've collected the series regardless of the what ever denomination was on the coin. Some of the designs aren't great buy I do enjoy most of them.
I hope they decide to sell a nice wooden case of these when the series is over. It'd be an easy cash grab that I'd fall for in a heartbeat.

gotta say, I have never been a fan of the 20 for 20 series, mainly because I wasn't a fan of the designs... but I love the new snowman! maybe i'll start collecting them... after all, they are a sure thing... you know you're not going to lose money on those...

My apologies....$12.99 is a secondary option for shipping. The USPS Letter Pack is free. Sorry for the hassle.

For some reason I really like the 20 for 20 coins. I have 3 of each that they made. To me its an amazing way to build an affordable coin collection. I wish all the mint products were in this price range.
I think I have a problem with most of the granny bait coins that they stuff down our throat every day not because of the amount or quality but simply the price. This set just works....

I got my Snowman 20 for 20 the other day, one of the nicest in the set imo.

Snowman is really nice, because Christmas is a very special time. Same thing for the reindeer.

i gotta say, I'm not sure wth is going on with the mint this month, but I still haven't received any of the coins I ordered beginning of October! :( (subscription for great lakes, 20 4 20 snowman, venitian glass snowman, the two "wait for me daddy" coins...) I called, but all they said was that it can take 4-6 weeks to ship... huh?!?!?
