I don't think this is problem-free because of minor things.
-Rim damage 8:00 on the reverse -Scratching on the center of the reverse -Graffiti, large X across her temple and cheek -Deep scratches elsewhere

I think graffiti is a bit of a stretch. And correct me if I'm wrong but does that look like a die clash on the reverse? It looks like the top of libertys head and ribbon just below the wreath. All in all, an excellent coin that I would love to have in my collection.

Not having the coin in hand limits my overall assessment of the coin but would have to agree, does not appear entirely problem free John. I wouldn't call it graffiti, but it almost appears tooled..especially the reverse. It in the VF range.

Congrats on your first 1700's copper! I remember I pretty stoked to get my first:) Yours is better than mine was. Mine is nice but bit more smooth. Cool die clash! Rim bump is a bummer and a couple slightly distracting "very old" scratches, but I am liking this coin! It is attractive. I will net it at F 12.

A nice example of Sheldon-174, (I believe). R-2. Small spine atop 1. The reverse and obverse bearing clash marks below chin and at fraction.
Nice average surfaces, VF20/VF25 condition, no corrosion or pits. A few minor scratches on obverse and an edge nick which is not too terrible yield a net grade of F15. Definitely a nice large cent.

A decent VF-20 coin with only minor issues.

VF-20
I think that the rim bumps will not get it a details grade.

Real decent! Minor scratches and rim bump at obv. 6 oclock and rim nick at rev. 8 oclock. Net grade around VG10 or F12. Who knows what a TPG would grade it and frankly who cares.

Congratulations on buying this one! I think the scratches are not a problem but the reverse rim nick might be a problem for a TPG. I don't slab old copper so - just give it a big hug for all of us!

I would also go F15. 300 is a good price. I would pay that in a heartbeat.

Received the coin yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised as to how light, old and toned over the scratches are. And the rim bump does not go very deep. Here is a better pic of how the obverse looks in hand. And a side shot of the rim bump: I am thinking it will slab problem free VF if I send it to ANACS.
