Your Most Expensive Purchase?

My most expensive purchase is a counterfeit 1913 V nickel, costed me a small check of a million dollars.

I have been perusing a commemorative type set for close to 40 years. I have two types left. This 1935 Old Spanish trail coin in a PCGS MS 66 holder leads my most expensive purchase.

My most expensive is still my Flying Eagle cent which I wish I would have waited to be until after I got the Blue Book because I'm starting to wonder if I got cheated on the price. My most expensive purchase will be when I finally have the funds to purchase an Isabella Quarter.

I beat my most expensive purchase a few months ago with this coin. The first big hole I filled in my 7070!

I'm primarily a circulating coin collector, so I usually stick to CRH. My only real goals other than to find silver is to find a discontinued design (LWCs and LMCs don't count, I mean something like an IHC or Mercury dime or even a Buffalo nickel.)

However, a guy who's about a year younger than me buys coins frequently. The problem is, he's really gullible and overpaid on everything. I remember last year he showed me a 1971 half dollar he got for "only 11 bucks" and a 1957 quarter he apparently paid $23 for. When I asked him why he paid that much, he said he needed one for his collection and the store clerk wouldn't sell it to him otherwise.
