coinaday New Member 3 Posts	Posted 02/02/2008 6:46 pm Hi Folks, I am recently new to coins. Seems like a great hobby. I bought a few very thick coin books and have enjoyed identifying many. I failed to see these coins in my limited books, even the 10 pound Krause 1900 to present. I had accumlated lots of coins and until recently, never took up an interest. Sap Moderator Australia 16871 Posts	Posted 02/03/2008 01:10 am Try doing a web search for "notgeld" and/or "kriegsgeld", but you'll probably find most of the best pages are in German; these tokens are quite popular for collectors in Germany. Most of the books are in German, too, and it'll probably be tough finding a decent, informative, "all in one" catalogue. I have a book called World Notgeld - A Guide & Checklist by Coffing. It's about half the thickness of a typical Krause, and all it is is a list of the various cities and towns that issued notgeld, and the kinds of notgeld they issued (metal, paper, POW camp, that sort of thing), with a general indication of the rarity of the city as a whole. It doesn't go into specific types. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 02/03/2008 06:24 am The book that Sap mentions is a good guide to paper notes but only shows a few images of the coins. A search on http://www.coinarchives.com in the world coin section shows a number of the coins. Most of the sites on the net show paper notes which were much more plentiful than the coins.
