It's either EF40 or 45. ANA grading says half the mint luster is still present for 45 and partial mint luster for 40. Based on the pics I'd say EF40, but I grade on the conservative side.
He really means http://www.vamworld.com/1921-P+VAMs. From what I can see, It is a 17 Berry Reverse. Does it have wide reeds? http://www.vamworld.com/1921-P+VAM-4? All of my 1921 17 berry morgans have wide reeds, does anyone know if they all have this? (and all of my wide reeds have a 17 berry reverse)
Hey, thanks for your opinions on the grade and thanks (I think) for leading me down the trail of those VAM's. I've been looking at them but until MorganNoob pointed it out I couldn't see anything. I think it has to do with all the documented differences. Does this really change the value of this coin?
The 17-berry reverse is one of two used with 1921-P Morgans; in and of itself it does not have any extra value. The Wide Reed versions, which are one subset of the 17-berry reverses, carry a premium in Uncirculated condition.
