hello,
I found a quarter dollar and the letters on the observe and reverse seems weird to me specially the L, B, E and R in LIBERTY and the the E and S in STATES
whats your opinions?

I just compared the two 1966 quarters which I have to your photographs and I see no difference between them at all.
