This is old. But, I'm interested in the Community's thoughts on this "error". A 1981 Lincoln Cent struck on a previously struck Kennedy half. Is there any conceivable way this could happen without being an 'inside job'? And how could this Frankenstein escape Mint quality controls other than the perps sneaking it out? Isn't this obviously a deliberate 'error'? Is this a Photoshop product?
It's highly likely that it's an assisted "error." I have a hard time believing that it happened by mistake. It looks intentional. Probably most likely a mint employee shenanigan.
