I just received a package from my grandpa and this was inside.

Is it lamination?

Yes,it's a LAM. Common on the War Nickels but still nice.

That's a nice one. And some of it is still retained. That's a good coin to put in a 2x2 holder to ensure more doesn't peel off. :)
