Perhaps

Most of my sets I personally try to fill as much as I can within reason. Every time I get paid, I used to have this process where I would basically buy at least one coin for each album/series I was currently working on at the time.
My
Shield nickels have basically stalled out completely. As cool as they are, they cost way too much money. So, for now, they are just kind of sitting there. I may or may not ever pick up with them again. Same with my
Buffalo nickels. I've basically gotten down to the semi keys/key dates. But, there are a lot more coins in this series and I see this as one that is doable still.
I like being able to work on sets that DON'T cost an arm and a leg, though, which is one reason I like the
Roosevelt dimes series. Tons of coins that are very reasonably priced, even the silver ones in BU.
This is the way I'm leaning now personally for collecting.
As much as I would love to get into older coins, like
Barber halves,
Mercury dimes,
Walking Liberty halves,
Peace dollars, etc, spending 30-50 dollars every time I purchase one singular coin for the series isn't my cup of tea.
I would much rather spend 30-50 dollars, and walk out/receive in the mail a butt load of coins. I kind of found this out the hard way with
Liberty nickels, as fun as that was.
