I just some coins to NGC including the following:

1864L S-4 Indian Head cent (XF-45+, hoping to get AU)
1889 S-4 Indian Head cent (MS-63, hoping to get 64)
1902 Indian Head cent (Hoping for MS-63+)
1939 DDR Jefferson nickel (F+)
1996w Roosevelt dime (x2) (hoping for MS-67+, other wise not really worth it)

Hope to get some good grades back, will see in about two weeks. I'll post again when I get them with the grade they get.

I am getting ready to ship some out to NGC as well in the next couple of weeks. Some of them are already graded and just need VAM attribution on them but a few will need to be graded

will those grades justify the price of getting them graded ? without checking the gray sheet on the specific coins you mentioned, I am wondering what your mindset is regarding third party grading

The 1864L IHC, 1889 and 1939 Jefferson nickel were all varieties (S-4, S-4, and DDR respectively) The dimes I was hoping to get a high grade and/or FT, which one did, and I was hoping to get a high MS grade for the 1902. The 1939 Jefferson DDR, 1996w FT Roosevelt and the 1864L are worth significantly more now that I got them graded, which more then makes up for the cost.

Here are the results. As I posted in the other thread, I was a little disappointed, but was also surprised too.

Good: FT Roosevelt, 1864L was AU, I bought it as XF, the 1889 got the variety I wanted and the 1939 DDR got a much higher grade then I was expecting.

1996w Roosevelt dimes - 1 MS-67, 1 MS-67 FT
1939 Jefferson nickel - VF-25 DDR
1864L IHC - Snow-4 AU Details, Environmental damage, planning on sending to NCS for conservation and hopefully a grade after
1889- Snow 4 1889/9 MPD UNC Details, altered color
1902 - UNC Details Altered Color
