tershaffer Valued Member United States 232 Posts	Posted 08/15/2011 11:40 pm hi all I just started collecting coins and roll searching and was curiuos about these that I pulled from pocket change over the last two months. since I started collecting I am now looking at all money I see, lol. I recently seen a $100 bill from 1935 that looked almost new, which I did not have the spare money to pick up at the time(sigh), but I did pick up these. it's probably hard to see from the picks but they are a 1935C $1 bill and a 1934E $5 bill. I do not know anything about paper money yet, but was curios as to what they may be worth and what I should look for in the future. any help would be great, not that I need another denomination to search for, but I think I am getting hooked, lol. any websites, books or suggestions would also be great. anything that can help, I am looking for pocket change picks to look for. It is neat and rare to find in circulation, but in that condition only worth about $3, in my opinion. The five I could not tell you much. I know the series only went to D, but I can not tell what yours is. If it is a C in that condition I would say it is only about $9. I think the five is the 1934C after rereading your post and the One is the 1935E and you got it in the wrong order. I would suggest getting the United States Paper Money Black Book to start. It is very useful. Also, look for star notes and the Serial Numbers is important. If you have not read this I would. https://goccf.com/t/94623 It is helpful to give you an idea what to look for in the number. Also depending on the fed bank it was printed for can effect the price.
