It doesn't have that deep mirrored proof look that a typical proof coin has it looks more like just a BU. Report this Post to the Staff

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6399 Posts	Posted 08/28/2011 11:38 am This coin has no appeal for me; I just don't get excited about the different finishes. I compared the prices quoted in the Coin Values price guides from March and September, 2011 and noticed the 1998-S matte proof dropped from $285 to $250. During the same 6 months the regular 1998-S silver proof went up from $11 to $25. I would not purchase this one unless it was cheap and could be flipped for a profit. Others may disagree!
