Personally, I like to spend Pres/Susan B/Sacawagea coins. The main thing I like about them is that they are so much more convenient than dollar bills. You just put a few in your pocket and then go shopping. When it's time to pay, it's so much easier to just reach into your front pocket and give the cashier a coin than having to pull your wallet out of your back pocket, open it up, fish around for a $1, then close your wallet and put it back in your pocket.

They are easy to spend in the drive-thru as well. I keep my change in the ash tray, I don't smoke, then you just grab a few to pay with, way easier.

I have been traveling a lot this summer and I have found that dollar coins and Kennedy halves make toll paying a lot more convenient. Is easy to keep some in the cup holder. Even with the windows'rolled down they wont blow away

I spend them all the time. When my wife Amy and I go to Disney World we always have a bag of $100 or so. I search them before we leave home and spend them in the parks. That way I don't have to carry paper bills on the rides that get you soaked and it always seems to rain at about 4:00 PM in the Orlando area. We only carry our ID, room card key (that let's you charge just like a credit card and has your park tickets) and the bag of coins. We always have a blast spending the coins. Here's a picture of when we went back in September of 2008. It's good to wear cargo shorts for the extra pockets.

I like the dollar coins way better than the one dollar bills also. One dollar bills get messed up really fast and take up too much room in the wallet. And I like to see people's reactions when I spend the coins. I take all the one dollar bills that I get to the bank and trade them for dollar coins. I love the half dollars too. If there was a five dollar coin, I would spend that too. Maybe some day ...

Odd to hear so many that really use them. I never see them being used anywhere. Most people I know hate those and never use them and refuse to take them. It is odd to hear so many say they use them since I've never seen one in change in many, many years now. Even the banks I go to say no one wants them.

I've been using them for a while and find them more convenient for small purchases ($6 or less), I can pull them out of my pocket and pay faster than I can dig out my wallet and get the right denominations. Although, I have been using $2 bills recently and they are quite fun too.

I love using them whenever I get the chance. I don't know about you guys but the $1 bills I get are extremely nasty looking. I feel like washing my hands after even touching those health hazards. Its a shame I always have to go out of my way to get the coins. Of all my years of spending them I have only gotten one back and that was at a garage sale.

Only time I got any prez dollars was at a McDonalds; two Washingtons, and that was because they ran out of $1 bills to give as change.
