coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/28/2011 09:13 am The bottom of the 7 is where I usually check first. Note how the large date's 7 hangs below the 0 in the date? The second point is the inside loop of the 9's direction. Check image provided and see the differences. Also the ends of the 9 are blunt on the large and pointed on the small date, both ends. If all you have are large dates, it's easy for your eyes to get fooled. Once you have a small date in hand, the difference is dramatic. Take a look in coins taken from mint sets--they're easier to find that way. Report this Post to the Staff
