Yes exactly. We want the price high and low for different thoughts! I just wish a little lower for junk silver purchases!

im hoping it stays low all summer. Ill be out at flea markets trying to get the best prices for them. it is easier to convince them to sell when silver prices are going down rather than up.

Yes. That sounds true. Plus when prices are going down and someone wants to sell they are quicker to sell I think. I never saw any silver at a flea market except once and it was cheaper at my regular shop (3percent over spot) so who knows. They basically had junk coins and wanted to sell as if uncirculated

That's good. We don't have any year round here. That is a good price. Where is that flea market? Just wondering

Quote: They basically had junk coins and wanted to sell as if uncirculated That's not unusual for two types of sellers. Someone who doesn't really want to sell but will if the price is high enough or someone who does not know the value of what they have so think it is higher than it really is. Quote:well there is a year round flea market in my area and iv been buying whatever morgans and Peace dollars the guy has for 25 each. That's a real good price if the coins are in decent shape. A lot of the ones I've seen looked decent but some of them had so much wear on them that it was difficult to tell what they were. Well worn coins don't do much for me so I keep looking for something better.

more or less by feel/ weight. Especially weight. The counterfeits are usually lighter, but there are some that are very, very tricky to tell.

My prediction hasn't even come true, silver today is only $31.44.

about the prediction.... I am not doing dates, but once the price chart blows past 36.50, the sky is the limit.

At the start of 2012, I predicted $35 by the end of the year. I still say $35.

$35 seems a reasonable number unless something really bad happens. Not that I am hoping for that, of course, just sayin'. People tend to run to PMs when the stuff hits the fan and there are multiple opportunities for that in the world these days.
Now that I think of it, $35 seems to be in the middle ground that wouldn't inspire a lot of buying or selling. This looks like "holding country" to me. It's not nearly enough to make me want to sell but it is enough to make me watch for a lower price before adding to my collection. Anyone else feel like this?
