Could someone please tell me if this is an error--picture doesn't show it well, but there appears to be an extension on the "D" at the bottom. Also not showing up on the picture is what appears to be a doubling on the right hand side of the four and three. Despite several attempts, I have been unable to photograph this "doubling" so that it shows up. Thanks!

Thank you, KisNap--I appreciate your help. I'm sure you're right, and I'm going to try and take some more pics to confirm it.

From that angle it looks like the mint mark took a hit. PMD.

Thanks, Plat1num--I'm pretty new to all of this. So a PMD is a bump or a bruise to the coin after it leaves the mint?

jhamner, see that PMD is underlined? that means you can click on it to see a definition.

or you can look things up in the Glossary on the left. I found several definitions there that I hadn't seen before.
