I'm new to collecting. When browsing
ebay, I noticed a seller that seemed to sell a lot of same date rolls, which people were actually buying. For example, a roll of 1972d
Jefferson nickels in circulated condition.
My understanding is that there is nothing special about that year, and it's really not worth more than face value. Why would someone pay a premium, plus shipping, for it? Are they dealers, or people putting together birthday sets or something?
Again, sorry for the stupid question, I just couldn't figure it out.
Thanks.
