It was purchased as an XF. It has a a few faint folds, but it's still very crisp.

I think it's a nice XF-45.

Ahh ok, it's difficult to grade with only one side.

Notes are really hard to grade after EF by scans or pictures.... So much has to do with the FEEL of the note which is also a shame after it's graded and sealed you don't get to feel that again... One reason why I like notes raw...

CB.... I really can't see the folds from your pics/scan... So I have my fingers crossed that it returns as a 45 or better

Yeah, it is. I will post better images when I get the note back from BCS.

I do like raw notes as well AgCoinAu, but for notes valued over a couple hundred dollars I like them to be graded. Mainly because of the added protection the holder gives. (It makes moving notes a lot easier as well).

I've never damaged any notes while viewing or moving them, but you can never be too careful.

CB. ... you make such good points.... Most of the higher end notes I come across are already graded.... and those that aren't I just put 'em away but I always fear damage... I suppose the only time I really care if my notes are graded is if I plan on selling them... and truthfully right now I'm still just "collecting" and not selling yet..

I gotta get my notes together and start putting up some pics here myself... I'd love to share.... the previous 30 pages have been absolutely awesome

Is there much of an added value with this bill.? The 10 does show a small part of the next bill.

The book value on that note is $140 in Unc condition DEVLEC. It looks like it has seen circulation, so that number will be lower.

Also, these errors are fairly common on the market. It's a nice note.

Thanks Canadian-Banksnotes for the info on the 10.

There could be a little fold line where the extra piece is and maybe handled a bit before being pulled and put aside.
Very close to unc ,..but I'm not a papermoney collector. I just have a few odds and ends.

Here are a few more..

Yes they're "raw" and glad that you like them..

..and these were picked up in the 80's and I still have them in a clear plastic slip meant to protect paper bills.

Aren't most 100's of that era "devils face" or are they the exception? The 54 ..100 is close to unc from my untrained eye but the 37 ..100 shows some handling.

Same question..any special value on these 2 bills..?

...and should I bring them for someone at the up-coming RCNA in August in Toronto..?

IMO... the '37 is in EF condition...

The '54 ... I don't know the printing #'s off hand.. but it's not easy to find as nice $100 DF notes... to me it looks like it would grade UNC... maybe C UNC just depends on those corners how many demerit points you'd get knocked there and of course how the note "feels"...

I don't exactly know what you mean by "special value" but there would be a premium over face .... Just off the top of my head I'd say the '37 may fetch between $150 & $200... the '54 somewhere between $850 and $1300.. that's just off the top of my head I could be way off.. if you want I can look at my charlton tonight if/when I ever get home.
