Here are a couple of Canadian Chartered Bank notes from the same time period ... I like this one because it is from Winnipeg => The Union Bank of Canada $5 (1912) And this one is one is from 1913, The Royal Bank of Canada $10 ... Battleship Bellerophon

And here is the last note of the night ... => a 1913 "50-cent" Newfie Government Cash Note (NF-8d) only 20,000 printed ... sorry if I hogged the thread (but since I blasted-off all of those photos, I figured that I might as well post 'em, right?)

Steve it's a pleasure to see them in the hands of an avid collector who enjoys them.

Thanks, Ugly .... and you're very correct => I do enjoy them (I love researching the old notes and finding-out about the Governor Generals and all of the ol' tales of their time) ... good times!

Just had to show my $4 dollar too. Only 116 know and me and stevex6 have 2 of them. It was graded at VG+ several years ago. Would like to hear your opinion of it's grade. Tryed several times in the past to upload a picture and now have fiqured it out, will post more in future.

wireman09 => yes, it's a nice feeling owning such a rare note, eh? (like a fine piece of art-work and/or history) It is always sooo hard to tell the grade of a note through a photo (a lot of the grade has to do with the "crispness" of the paper, and the severity of the folds, etc) ... however, I certainly think that VG+ is in the ball-park (are those slight rust stains in the top-left? ... those are very common on these nice ol' notes) If I were you, I'd be very proud of that dawg!

Here is a nice looking $1,000 bill (man, if only it was a Devil's Face, eh?) ... but still a pretty sweet note ... well, I'd better go to work so that I can afford to buy a few more of these notes! *Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho ... *
