Great radar Flippy! Price wise it's hard to tell, but 8 digit ones would have to be uncommon.

You will need to forgive the photography skills, bur I'm on the road this week, and all I have is the Iphone. Anywhoo, I went to one of the major banks today, for the first time ever, and said "can I please have $100 of $1.00 coins. The teller said "Sorry, I can't do it" and followed up with "you'll have to wait, They're in the other safe". So, I waited for a bit, and eventually got my $100 of $1.00. Boyish charm, pity, or devotion to customer service, I don't know what it was. But I was soon happily on my way with my $100.00 worth. I would grade these as aUnc or better, and the centenary of federation has an almost mirror like look to it.From the first bag that I checked, still have $80.00 worth to go.

Hey guys! First time posting here. Hope you're all doing well.

I only started to look at coins a few weeks ago, and I'm really not sure what's hot and what's not, but I have put aside some of the things that I've found the least of, working on the theory that statistically, they're more likely to be rare/sought-after.

Here are my federations:

Noodling-Find-Of-The-Week?

I don't think the women's day ones are particularly hard to come across, but I included them for some reason.

Noodling-Find-Of-The-Week?

I included the dollar coin because it's non-standard and I found it on the floor of the bank when I was getting the 20s out! The thing in the middle came in a bag and doesn't appear to be a coin. I don't quite know what it is...

Noodling-Find-Of-The-Week?

And, finally, I'm looking for some advice on what to do with these:

Noodling-Find-Of-The-Week?

I picked up $200 worth of 20 cent coins that are, as far as I can tell, uncirculated 2012s. I haven't checked all of the bags (they came in the non-resealable $4 green bags) but the ones I have so far are all the same. The quality on all of them is really good: but is there much here?

Should I keep a few bags and take the rest back to the bank? Should I put them on as a big lot on ebay? Should I keep all of them for a later date where they might be worth a little more? I don't know if they're only worth face-value, but I thought it was interesting to get 'untouched' coins.

Thanks!

I was searching through some coins today and I found
1x 2011 20c
1x 2011 $2
1x 1979 aUnc
1x 1988 Proof (possibly silver)

I think the 1988 may be a silver proof, I weighed it and it weighed 18.9g, rather that the normal 15.55g

I hope it is silver proof

I don't know about the viability of selling them (though I'm sure someone else will) but I don't think they're a low mintage so I'd only be keeping a few of the nicer, less bag-marked ones for myself.

If that's the case then very well done.

to CCF Arnox some nice finds there.

I'd keep as many of the 'perfects' as I could afford.

Sfitzernator, that's a nice looking federation.

Flippy ..... what can I say .... WOW

Yep, it'd be silver. Catalogue lists a silver 50c at 18.24 grams as against 15.55 for a cupro-nick.
It's amazing what can turn up in our circulating coinage....

Had a 20cent noodle this week, not much to report except:

A nice little 2000 finger Cud;

Some 2008 doubling;

A bit of 1980 PMD, where part of the rim looks to have been displaced into the field of the coin;

Nice ones Sfitzernator. Love the 2008!

Do you reckon the 1980 might be PMD?

Hi Unicorn, and thanks, I do think it's PMD, just find it interesting the way the metal has moved. And the lack of damage to the obverse, apart from the tiny little rim nick.
