Finally finished imaging all of the coins in the 8 Reales Madness set at NGC.

Some of these were a real pain the butt to image properly, especially through the slabs. Hope you like the outcome.

Wow, all those are beautiful ! Gorgeous indeed - and you took excellent pictures of all of them.
I learned a lot with the one with ID '2754470-001' - I actually bought a cast one from the last Cayon sale. I didn't knew this whole story :)

BTW, I saw your Calbeto-84 was sold - you don't have a similar one anymore ? (I sniped it, but someone was higher ... I would have gone higher without the plastic box :p)

Thanks, guys. It took quite a bit of time and multiple iterations to get the balance of color and details correctly.

Mathieu - I'm glad you liked the Chihuahua piece and the history behind these issues. It took multiple conversations with NGC to make them understand that counterstamps are not post-mint damage, but were a part of the minting process of the original cast host.

The peculiar bust issue of Durango is a neat anomaly. Makes you wonder what made Durango use that particular obverse bust. After all, in 1820 they used a few different ones, but nothing like the Peculiar bust of the 1821. At the same time, they had a normal 1821 issue, as well.

Here are a few 1820's

And 21's with normal busts

Excellent :)
Those really don't have much in common with the special bust ... it's very strange indeed.
But you don't have that peculiar bust anymore in your set, right ?

In a day or two, I'll post a nice coin you will like :) (just received my Ponterio mail from their last auction)
