Found this while roll hunting. Pretty sure that this is an RDV-006. Anyone agree/disagree?

Sorry about the pics. This is the best I could do given my equipment. It seems that a microscope is needed to get a good pic.

Your close up of the "FG" is very good, quite clear. It looks a lot like the shot on Mr.Wexler's site

A cheap Fujifilm camera set at 6mp & macro, shot through a cheap illuminated stand magnifier. I guess I did better than I thought.

Can anyone give me an idea as to value? I looked on ebay, and the most recent examples all had verdigris. There was a 3 coin lot, but I thought the pictures of the FG were offputting. Any insight would be helpful. Also, what factors does one consider when determining the value of a coin like this?

Thanks!
Rest in Peace

markn984: Congrats on the RDV-006!

The 3 coin lot you mentioned were mine (98sse) and got sold for $36.00

They were all extra's that I had and were not in very good grade.

Your coin is in beautiful condition.

A few years ago, I sold a 1988P RDV 006- Die # 2 in MS grade for over $75.00

Prices have come down from then, most of the 88P- RDV-006's are not worth more than $25.00 to $50.00 depending on grade etc. (IMHO)

The big one, premium wise, is the 1988D- RDV006.

Thanks so much for the info. I'll probably put it on ebay. I'm not in a rush to sell, so hopefully I can get a bit more than that

Your Welcome!

Your coin is in beautiful condition, so you could very well get alot more than what I had mentioned. Good luck and congrats again on a real nice find.
