It wouldn't be "high demand, buy them now" if they listed 1000+ in stock....

have you guys seen all the bad reviews of this coin on mint.ca? "I tried to order this item the same day I was notified by the mint of its availability and it was sold out. Not impressed" "I don't seem to be able to order a roll of these coins. Your instructions tell me to "act fast". And I'm tying to do that. How do I order a roll of these 50 cent coins? If your going to send me an e-mail to "act fast" at least let me order a roll of the coins." BTW, colonialacres 50C roll round 3 sold out

If it wasn't for you guys on this forum, and someone saying the new flush of coins would be available on Feb 28 (?) I don't think I would have gotten to order any. I got the mint email two days ago and they were sold out by then. I owe it to the forum that I was able to get rolls for myself, thanks guys!

I always ask the question of "Why the premium" on rolled coins... see message I sent to my 'rep' below: Quoting one of the reviews - regarding the 50 Cent roll of circulating coins......(@mint.ca http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/speci...Id=cat120010 ) This is described as a "Circulation Coin Roll", and then the description states "no longer used as circulation coinage". The product image has "[$]" clearly marked on it, but the Mint's price is 100% more than that ([$]). If these are really circulating currency, shouldn't the mint be offering them at face value plus shipping? I must agree with the 'poster'. How is it, you the mint can sell what is obviously a 'collector' edition coin (the $20 for $20) at face value, but will charge a premium on the rolled coins (Double for the $12.50 rolls of 50 cents) - which were/are actually meant for circulation? I often wondered that. (ie the Poppy Coins, and the Olympic Coins) $10 roll for $14.50 if I remember correctly! Personally, I would subscribe to an annual issue of 1 roll of every 'circulating' coin every year, as they are prepared whether it be in Winnipeg, or Ottawa - IF THEY WERE SOLD AT FACE VALUE. It would eliminate the 'luck of the draw' when going to the Royal Bank to pick them up - if they happen to have them. Just a suggestion to your marketing department! Respectfully submitted,

If I was to get a mint roll I would be reluctant to open it. In the off chance one of you out there do crack open your roll anyone want to sell me a single coin? ebay is hit or miss most going for 4-5 bucks. I will a good price, or better yet, trade?
