How did you get your bank to order Ikes? And what bank did you use? Was it a big national bank, or a local one?

Nice.

I have gone through a $100 so far and look what I came across... found it that it was fake due to the God We Trust on the back of the coin,
The good news is that it only cost you a dollar.

1997 American Eagle Silver Dollar... 1885 Morgan... 1921 Morgan... 1879 and a 1921 Morgan dollar.

Nice finds!

It might not be common, but they do. It may have been a gift, an inheritance, or it was stolen.

It says One Dollar on the back. They might not know what it is really worth, but they can probably read.

I found an ASE at a bank when I was asking for "large dollars", and lots of other people have gotten Morgan and Peace dollars so it's not unprecedented. If I could order them at any of my banks, I would get as many as they would let me!

I know of someone that works at a 7/11 who had a customer pay for a purchase using a Silver Eagle. She tried to explain to the person that that was not a good idea since it was worth many multiples of a dollar for the silver, but the customer didn't care. It does happen!

Two questions...

1) How much does it cost to get a bag of Ikes? I'm going to ask my bank too, if I can come up with the cash.
2) Do you have a plan for dumping them? They aren't going to go into a coin machine!
