Today I got the $150 in halves I ordered, and I got 3 40%, what appears to be a doubling error on a bicentennial, and a couple of low mintage BU coins. Not too bad, I suppose. Would be nice to hit another streak where I get 10-17% silver in each roll, though.

Finally decided to do a box of dimes again. A little better luck this time.

Found a few 1969's, one with a die crack on the reverse, and one Struck Through Grease where you can't tell if it's a 1997D or 1993D (I need to look at this one with the microscope when I get a chance). No silver of course, but then I didn't expect that much.

HAHA, finally, I got my first 90% today, and it was even a WLH (dateless though), plus 4 40% in my $150 worth of halves.

Finally ventured into a box of nickels. Talk about beginners luck. Found a silver wartime nickel and an almost dateless Buffalo nickel. Looks like it might be a 1920, but I'm not sure. Plenty of canadian nickels and a couple dozen pre-1960 mickels. Filled quite a few spots in the whitman.

Well, I found me a 42 S wlh, but someone drilled a hole in the top to make a necklace or something :( I guess it's only about 80% silver now :)

$20 in nickels:

The usual bunch of 60's, most in very good shape, some Jeffersons, one was 1962 (pretty rare for up here), and 2 GB 20 pence coins in separate, but consecutive rolls.

I bought $12.00 in nickels from the bank yesterday.
Found two buffaloes...But alas, the date and mintmark was worn off

Got 6 rolls of pennies, but someone had already been through those. Every one was dated between 1979 and 1981.

Went to my bank for my usual Friday visit. The teller had set aside two rolls of US quarters that someone turned in (she was just getting ready to call me when I showed up). I got them for $20 CDN. I wished her a Happy Mother's Day before I left.

Well, stopped by the bank after work for a quick grab, no halves so I got $50 in dimes. No silver, did get a couple that are a bit offcenter, would those be worth putting to the side. They aren't major, but you notice it pretty easily. I think i'll stick to my halves :)

$10 in pennies today. (Don't expect a lot of free time this weekend) Already found a 1926D wheat, and a couple of Geo VIs. (1951 and 1947ML) I've still got 8 more rolls to go, but won't get to them until Sunday probably.

got $100 in halves today and finally had some luck, 3 proofs and 1 1964 half that should be a minimum of AU 58, it is really nice. I had gone through about 15 rolls previously with no luck, now I can forge ahead with renewed hope.

I did fairly well with my $500 in halves this week. 7 1964s, 11 40% and two proofs (80 and 89). Also a 2006-D, which was the first 06 I have seen yet. I found a few nice 05 Ps and Ds a few weeks ago. The new ones I have been finding are nice, well-struck coins, unlike most of the ones from the mid 1990s up to 2001, which I think look thin and cheap. ~Jim
