Well so far in my LMC roll searches I have found over 50 1969-s,1970-s,and two of the 70s being double die date varieties. I have over a roll of left over s-mint pennies after filling my collection spots. I found these foreign coins that are in the pictures and some dimes as well.

Found my first Buffalo nickel in circulation yesterday. 1936. Took a second to realize it, as the back looks similar to those buffaloes you see on the westward journey nickels. I've actually found more Indian Head cents (found two) than Buffalo nickels, even though they are an older series.

I had no idea other people did this until I found your site yesterday. I mostly do pennies, but once in a while I get some halves. I got $100 worth of halves about a month ago and did not find anything interesting but yesterday I was able to get another $100 and got a 1964 and a 1968.

Mhetz, the 68-S penny isn't that special, but I have a fondness for S-mint coins and it was cool to get 6 out of 7 dates in just two penny boxes.

I got two rolls of nickels tonight at Wal-mart. The second roll had nothing, but the first had a 1941, a 1947, 1966, 1969S, and a 1970S. This would be my second best roll (I've only done 15 rolls). My best had a 1936 Buffalo and a 1940 fine. Good luck to all.
Also, welcome nod2003.

Results from my latest box of pennies.

430 copper thru 1981 (17%)
68 1982's (both copper & zincs)
3 wheat pennies (1944, 1957, 1958) all in good condition
2 canadian pennies
4 1969-1974 "S" mint mark
1 2003 S- Proof (my first proof coin found in a roll)

All in all not a good box. Also, I'm finding the percentage of cooper
in a box is slowly declining.

well I cant find the correct forum to post this in so its going in here...
I went to one of those jewelry stores where the guy buys gold and silver as well as coins and although he is a shark and he has all the books I traded a gram of 14K gold (an estimated $30 value) for a 1921 mercury in G-4 condition and a 1931 mercury also G-4... I win. I returned later and bought a 1949 UNC MS-60 Roosevelt for $9, the list price and the local coin dealers price was $17. My bank has no rolls for me. Curse you coin star!

Mhetz,

The IHC I found was in a bank wrapped roll. Why?

A box of nickels, bought Friday, yielded a 1935-D. And 2 dimes.
