Tykimeister Pillar of the Community United States 882 Posts	Posted 02/01/2007 11:08 pm Someone is trying to sell this to me. He said its a gold coin. Canadian. Slightly larger than a twoonie. The pics are not good enough to read all the inscription and make a search, but as far as I can see, there's a "celebration 2000" and " Ontario" so it may be a medal for some community there. Snooba Pillar of the Community Australia 1360 Posts	Posted 02/02/2007 03:22 am In order for it to be a coin/legal tender, it must have a denomination and the picture of the monarch on it. So, no, it is not a coin. It is some sort of medal/medallion/token. Hope that helps. Also, if it was gold, it would state the purity of the gold somewhere on it. Report this Post to the Staff
