I was going to ask the same thing, because the one time I did order pure 999 silver from the Perth Mint I was charged tax and brokerage fees or something. I didn't accept it at the post office. |

Very rarely to I get hit for customs maybe 1 in 7 shipments and when I do it's equal to what I would have paid for shipping anyways. I always order more than $300 that way it is free shipping.

They used to ship with fed ex and there were always brokerage fees now they stopped doing that and ship through aus. post which is then delivered by Canada post.

Rockdaddy22， you didn't accept it. So package returned to Perth Mint? I got charged tax and brokerage fee on my high relief dragon order. I filed an appeal already, no reply from custom so far, about 2 weeks ago. |

I've placed 4 orders in the past 6 months with the Perth Mint, and never had to pay customs or brokerage fees to bring it into Canada. However, I did have to pay $50 brokerage fee for the US Mint's 25th anniversary ASE set. Luckily, the ASE set is worth more than double the issue price right now. |

Linekerca. I assumed, probably like you that I wouldn't have to pay tax because it was pure silver. Obviously customs felt different, so between the tax and brokerage fees or whatever those fees are, made it not worth it. So I refused to sign for it at Canadapost and returned to sender. Got a refund via PayPal about a month later.

The mint has shown the 25th for awhile but dealers have them now. I received a ship notice today from a dealer so maybe the mint will ship them soon too.

Very good. I have one on order too. Now I have to work on getting a ladybug at a reasonable price. I couldn't just have the number 2 in a series.  |
