you mentioning beer, reminded me of something. The cashier at the grocery store said someone had came in earlier in the day with several they won in poker. Which one of you was it?

11 at hardware store 8 for lunch + tip 31 at retail store for a few things including new mouse (not the furry kind) $97,794 to go BTW -Today, I bought a used treadmill out of the paper, and I did not pay with dollar coins. I had enough so I could have, just didn't want to pay with a small/heavy box of coins.

I spent an extra $175 since my last post, mainly on gas and a few for fast food. The main thing I spend is two dollar bills. $97,614 to go

I spent 3 at flea market and 4 getting a prescription. The guy at the counter said to a coworker "what do I do with these, there is no slot in the drawer"? I said "put them in front and give them out as change to the next person". I doubt he will though.
$97,607 to go.
Fuzzy, I am curious. When you spend more than 25 dollar coins at one time, do you just hand over a roll or do you count them out individually?

I like to spend $2 bills also. I ask for them at the bank always. They had a whole bunch last week so I spent them over the weekend instead of dollar coins, like I usually do. They are gone now. Back to the dollar coins.

perfessor, I carry some loose in my change, but I carry a tube of small dollars when total gets close to $25. So I just pour out the tube in my hand and hand them to the cashier. I got the tubes from my local coin shop, they hold 25 small dollars. I have one tube in the console of my truck for emergencies.
EDIT - a confession of sorts, two of the big uses of golden dollars has been at a self-checkout, so I just feed 69 and lately 31 coins into the machine.
