Quote: Mint.ca, Colonial Acres, and Gatewest are all sold out now. That's good. I was expecting this set to not be so popular because of the price. I guess that being a relatively small issue combined with great engraving and a good subject will prove to make this a super hit. I just hope they don't screw up and make 30,000 of the next coin.

Nice! I like how there is no text at all on the reverse.

Was curious so I looked all the coins in the subscription up. F.H. Varley 'Stormy Weather' Arthur Lismer 'Nova Scotia Fishing Village' Franklin Carmichael 'Houses, Cobalt' Lawren S. Harris 'Toronto Street, Winter Morning' Franz Johnston 'The Guardian of the Gorge' J.E.H. MacDonald 'Sumacs' A.Y. Jackson 'Saint-Tite-des-Caps' Also here is Tom Thompson's 'Jack Pine'

I too was wondering what the remaining paintings looked like. I was expecting more natural landscape paintings.
I think the Lismer NS fishing village is the one I'm most looking forward to. The naked rock man not so much.

Definitely must've been hard to transfer the paintings to the coins but after receiving mine this past week I'm very impressed with the quality of the coin. Definitely an eyecatcher! Great addition to the line of RCM products!

Quote: actually, it is not as good as I think Yes it is. It's actually better than you think it isn't. I thought the same at first but it really is a very nice coin. It's just hard to capture art like a painting on a coin. I think the engraving on this coin is far better than any other coin to date and about 10 times better than the "Jack of Pines". They totally ignored the back ground in the gold "Jack of pines" coin. It's a really nice coin, but then there is the old saying "I don't know what are is, but I know what I like."
