Just got word from my sister in Nova Scotia that she was able to get one from one of the rural post offices there. I had her request several weeks ago to let her know if they got one in and they called today.
Looking forward to picking that up along with some other "Canadian addresses only" purchases I made this last year when I visit in early July.

I am still waiting...I called on Friday and they said they were still processing my order. At least they reassured me that it was not cancelled.

I called RCM last week. They said there were some producing issues. They estimated the delivery date could be the end of June. I have 9 dino coins pending there.

It's worth the wait. Really a neat coin.

I wonder, is the "glowing" effect going to fade over time?

The Mint said no. It will not fade away. Some newspaper stated that.

All luminescent paint will eventually fade, degrading ever so slightly with each storage and release of energy. Unless the RCM developed some sort of new luminescent paint, which is much bigger news than the coin itself, they are not correct in saying it will not fade. Depending on the paint used, the fading may not be noticeable until decades later though.

By the time I get mine, it will have faded substantially.

For anyone interested in this coin still it is available at Downies for $48.50 plus $26.00 shipping to Canada.Shipping is not too bad if you order something else at the same time. And by the way there is a limit of 1 coin per person.

Presumably it will lose value as the effect degrades. Interesting new attribute for coins. We have 0-100% red (mint luster) for coppers Do we now have 0-100% glowing power? If it is kept in the dark, and doesn't cycle, will it retain the capability indefinitely?

elkslayer132 => thanks for the heads-up (I bought one => I have explosive-OCD and I own every painted Canadian quarter!!) => oh, and "yes" I realize that none of them will be worth a hill of beans in the future! ... but again, my OCD keeps telling me => incomplete, must buy .... incomplete, must buy ... incomplete, must buy (you get the gist, right?!!) thanks again!!
