ACH debits come out RIGHT NOW. ACH credits take 2 to 4 business days. It's just an accounting scam to give them more time to use your money. Paypal does it as well.

I would bet the ones you bought from coin vault aren't the FS designation. I saw some on one of the home shopping coin company's they had that offer.

Can someone post a refresher on the difference in slab label via NGC when you open these up vs. sending them in unopened. Also, are the retro holders all that?, guess maybe I should just give NGC a call, or check the website, they had a statement last time these sets came out. My sets came just a few weeks back and I was waiting to open them up with my grandpa as he's got a killer stereoscope just thought it would be fun to pick these over together. I'm guessing the return policy is out on these as well..

Im pretty sure if you just got them in the last month they arent able to get the ER. The black holders are cool if you like them. I like the black better than the white personally but its all a taste thing. They could be more sought after though since its something different

Or the white, if people want the slabs in their collection to match. Another case of going with what works best for you.

I too had also returned some sets to be replaced, I was re-charged before the credit was issued, I would not of had any results if I did not call for 3 days, you see a credit was " created " but not processed!! In the end, I received some Very Sweet Sets. :)

PBGS has done nothing but tarnish the mint's reputation (as if they needed any help doing that) and the way they have handled CC transactions on purchases and returns is just one of the ways that they have done that. I sincerely hope the mint has the sense to switch fulfillment vendors at the next opportunity.

Is there even anyone in a position with the ability to take their spot unless they start distributing mint coins through Amazon or something?

There are a number of companies that specialize in order fulfillment of various sorts. Amazon is one of them that does a great job of it. I never had reason to take issue with mint order fulfillment before January of 2009 (around the time that PBGS took over). Hopefully, when the job goes to bid again sometime next year, someone will beat out PBGS and actually do a better job of it. It would actually be a great fit for Amazon, they hate to collect sales tax and no one ever pays sales tax on mint-direct sales. They could put in a dedicated building at one of their existing facilities and since they already have a sweet deal with UPS, all would be cool.

Id be happy with Amazon taking over if they were interested in that. I've never had any problems with their shipping dealing with them. I'm sure their stock would get a nice bump from that too

I don't see why the mint doesn't handle it themselves. They sell enough products every year to justify a sales/customer service department. Why spend money on a 3rd party? It's not like they are avoiding customer complaints or questions now. Why not just deal with it in house?

It was probably done so that the mint can concentrate on making the product. They probably decided that it would be more cost effective to farm it out. But it could also be that they have now realized that it has cost them more with the customer aggravation.

You guys were right about the quality on these. Out of 7 sets that I just went over, every single one of the RP had major scuffs on the lower part of her dress, on her breast, head, and arms, all at higher relief points. One of the RP is such a disaster I can't even describe it, all of them have black spots on them as well. Absolute junk, don't know what I'm going to do with these, the proofs look better, but look to have some white spots on them. Just does not seem right, but it's my own fault for not opening these up the first day I got them. I just don't know what to say, except I'll probably never buy anything direct from the mint ever again, I see how they work now, it's obvious what happened here.
