I think I will take a pass on this one. Don't want to buy a coin just because everyone's buying it. I'm more interested in the 2010 Māori Heitiki. Does anyone have it? I'd like to find out whether the Heitiki part is just painted or it's actual piece of stone. The case looks amazing.

In case anyone's wondering, this is what I'm talking about.

I personally prefer simple design. The shark coin looks very nice with all the elements, but it's very busy and too crowded.

The bite marks apparently pierce through the coins also.

For those of you who'd purchased this coin, you might want to keep an eye on this pre-sale

I noticed that powercoin.it also has a baby taku coin. It looks like a new design for 2012.

Great-White-Shark-Mint-Coin

Ordered this as well as the Koi coin! Excited... now let's see if RCM will ship my "Two Loons" first or Powercoin will ship my Koi and baby taku first.

@brexzz1, if I remembered correctly, the NZ mint is privately owned. It sells almost exclusively to dealers. I think it'd be very hard to catch one on their own website, if it's possible at all.

Taku or Swordfish is still available at NZ Mint site, but 2 things worth noting:
- shipping is very expensive (30-35 per coin?)
- APMEX sells significantly cheaper and shipping is (basically) 35 per order

I have never shipped with them as all the coins I planned to buy were immediately sold out after coming out, although powercoin charges 10 euro for shipping which I guess is pretty low in price

Add Taku to the shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Packaging is same => shipping is same.

They charge high shipping fee and sold out before the public release day,
Just to push you guys to buy from their exclusive dealers. More profits instead of selling at a issue price.
That's why they advertise the new coins 1-2 months in advance and never tell the actual price.
It is dark business. (just like undertable)
