I have a few 90%'ers in my scrap silver stash, but finding them in circulation: THAT'S different!

Nice score! Very hard to find now. I've found dozens of 90% halves and dimes, and even a few War Nickels, but only one 90% quarter lately. It was in a teller's tray, of all places!

Back in the '80s and early '90s it was much easier. I still have a whole roll of them my mom found in the register at work back around 1990.

I suspect that a 90%'er would escape casual detection would be as a result of a gray patina, which would approximate that of an old, worn, copper nickel coin.

Silver quarters - way easier to dig than to find in circulation!

Silver coins fascinate me, and it positively makes my day to get one in circ. I've received 5 quarters (oldest is 1945), 15 dimes and 2 Mercury dimes ('38 and '41) over the past year and a half... Oh, and a '67 and '69 50-cent piece too.
