I just wish I wasn't working today so I could try to schedule an exclusive private viewing. At least this is my 50th post so I can show everyone how many of my coins resemble the above pieces. I wonder if he would at least include the tablecloth in the deal...would be great for St. Paddy's day.

Honestly...this was my impression when I entered the hobby--all ancient coins were rare/valuable.

DVC, I agree. I bought my first ancients because I was staggered by how cheap they were. I thought it would be at least £50 for a slug, an actual coin being worth hundreds.

But hey, eventually they'll stop coming out of the ground and the price will start going up.
