So, I take it that this was a good trip for you: both for the sites and for the coins. As long as you are happy then that is all that matters. Do your parents encourage you? Or simply tolerate your obsession? You made quite a good haul. Our loss is Canada's gain.

Bangor is in Maine! Doesn't anyone watch Trailer Park Boys? ;) I'm totally jealous of your Mexican coins. The best I've ever found in circulation down there were two $20 peso coins without the silver. They're in BU condition and I'd never sell them for any reason - they've stayed with me since the beginning of my hardcore collecting. I'm digging the Belgian coin, also, with the lion on it. Looks very majestic.

Thanks for the comments guys :)
52Raymo: No I didn't read that thread, could you post a link. I might go next time I visit NJ, thanks.
matthewvincent: Well, my whole family collects coins, but I'm probably the biggest buyer so they encourage me. They even recommend that we go to shops and flea markets to find some coins to buy.
just carl: haha, sorry I didn't know you were being sarcastic. And actually, there are 7 different places in the U.S. with the name ``Maine`` lol.

Oh Apollo! Neither my dad nor my great aunt ever "bought" a coin. They collected from circulation. Not me, but I could not talk my dad into buying the last coins that he needed. A family that collects coins together remains together throughout the years. Combine that with a family vacation and I say, " The best of all possible worlds. " Where in Canada do you hail from, eh? Maple leaves and Labatts - and SO MANY coins with beautiful animals - what's not to like about Canada?

matthewvincent: I'm from Montreal, Quebec, nice place but it's rarer to meet English speakers where I now live.
52Raymo: Thank you for the link :)
