Stacks of 10 or 20. You choose. Just be gentle.

Sir, you have no idea the strain I put myself under, when handling a new bag. And removing one or two coins at a time from the bag.

At the bank I cringe as the teller(s) drop them into my front seat. They do this for me because I am limited on what I can lift.

Then there is the issue of getting them out of the front seat. I use a small wheeled cart. Then I need to lift them to the table.

I can just only imagine what BRINKS and the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK did to "OUR" collective babies.

I have seen $500 bags out there. I strongly would advice all CCF members to AVOID THEM

500 Ike for $500 searched or not, the ones you don't want can be spent for a dollar a piece so I don't see a problem really. It would be a better rule of thumb to jst not buy anything called "UNSEARCHED" if you are looking for something special If it is something you want and don't have, then $500 for 500 of them seems a pretty straight forward deal.

If you can get 500 Ikes for $500 you got a great deal

What I was referring to was ebay, where the "hope" of a buyer is to find Silver, because it was from the bag came directly from the Federal Reserve Bank. But the FED does not have 500 bags. Only in 1,000 bags.

When I am lucky enough to get a $1000 FED bag, I do in fact find .400 AG, ASE, Peace and Morgan dollars, .999 and Commemoratives, from time to time. Also find peglegs, ERRORS Toned etc.

NOTE:

If you buy a $500 bag from an ebay seller, the brake even price of that "unsearched" after all Paypal and ebay fees is about $593, including FREE shipping. Then when he adds in a nickel PROFIT, you are at $618.

I hope I have explained myself.

Oh, you mean the bags claimed to be from the FRB as $500? I wasn't connecting there. I doubt anyone would be able to get one of those big bags that it takes a forklift to move on ebay. (or do they only use those giant bags for quarters?)

The ads I see on ebay might=could=may be deceptive. IMO

"UNSEARCHED SEALED BANK BAG" 500 count.

All true as far as it goes.

But they are not from the FRB because the FRB bags 'em in 1,000 count.

The seller(s) who do this is are counting on buyers who are not aware FRB bags only come in 1,000 count.

There is difference between a FRB 1,000 plastic bag, and a nice clean plastic bank bag with 500 count Ikes.

Anyone can buy "BANK BAGS" from a bank supply company. They cost about a dollar per bag.

Once you have a "BANK BAG", one could just pop in any (SEARCHED) 500 Ikes.

NOTE:

If there are not too many picture (LIKE ONE) beware again.

this is what a FRB bag looks like, out of my bags.

(6) six of my bags were "LEAKERS"

I was afraid I was getting cheated, but in true now I crenge when I get a bag in real good condition. The reasoning is the older the bag, (all beat up) will have a better chance of SILVER.

I hope this helps

One more "LEAKER"

Not too sure, this may have been bag #3

This bag had 8 or 10 "openings" like the ones shown.

I understand most CCFers would not go for this sort of issue. For me it is just facts of getting Ikes.

Call me nuts. I love leakers.

AS LONG AS I CAN GET "EM AT A BUCK

Just scored 36 Ikes at a random bank that said they had some $2 bills when I asked.

2 1976 and 10 1973. Looks like the '73 hadn't been long out of their mint sets either so have that new coin smell to them. (metal stinks! or maybe that was the glue on the little bill envelop they were in?)

To me this is the best single score I have ever witnessed

They are 5 of each, and my folder has no holes for them. (only a hole for 73-S) what to do with 5 1973 D and 5 1973 Ikes? How to store them?

I am just happy to have found Ikes than what any of them are really. Seems the teller that used to collect them from this one bank, recently retired. So I might have found a new watering hole.

Had a descent haul today - 20 Ikes!

All were 1971, 1972, one 1978, and one bicentennial. Most (if not all) were D mintmarks; didn't examine too closely.

They'll go into my stash to later be distributed as tooth fairy and allowance money to my kids someday.
