Quote: and here's my 1998 S proof Quote: Here are some quick photos of a few I picked out of the album... Very nice! Quote: The current "key" to the series is the silver Matte finish 1998 coin Correct. There are three different 1998-S Kennedy half dollars: Clad Proof, Silver Proof, and Silver Matte Finish. The Silver Matte Finish is the key.

Awesome, good luck smokeriderdon! I will be at the same show, I assume (Vienna), but it's not on my shopping list this time. Hope you find one for a good price and enjoy the show!
Never even heard of that movie... I will check it out.

Picked up this coin for my set. Its a 1970 PCGS 68 DCAM. Thats my 3rd 68 DCAM in this short set, but I dont think the rest are within my range for that grade... possibly the 64. Either way, 3 down, 5 to go for the short set with accented hair. Got this for about $20 below FMV. Enjoy: Sorry the pics arent the best.

OK so now I have reviewed all my proof sets here are the results. 1958-1964 in original plastic with yellow envelops, no cameos except for cents and nickles. The 1958 Wheat cent is outstanding! 1968 & 1969 no cameo 1970 cameo Kennedy but with the cloudy toning starting on the edges. 1971-1980 clad sets some cameos but their clad and do not interest me. 1776-1976 three coin proof all cameo but not deep. 1992-2012 silver sets all with deep cameo for all silver coins, these Kennedy's are really sharp and attractive. It looks like I might have to follow HONDO's example and add the 1964-1970 proofs to my graded cameo set.

Go for it muddler... It's actually a very fun short set. Mine is setup as a registry set which is also fun.
I am going to pm you about a coin you may like
