I am looking at this coin, and it's not TERRIBLY priced above spot at $230. A mintage of 18,888 seems low, and I bet it'd be a nice keepsake.

Anyone else thinking about picking one up?

with gold hinting back up to $1800, I think this coin is VERY affordable, for RCM standards that is. Not to mention, I was born in the year of the snake :)

I ordered one as well. As of today, buying a 1/10oz bullion maple needs about 192$CAD (at PMH), so 230$ for a proof coin with case isn't too bad, besides if the US keep printing money IMHO it will be a safe investment... but that is just my 2 cents. If my ultimate goal is to make money then I will buy bullion instead.

I bought the Year of the Dragon 1/10oz gold coin last year. It's very nice and shiny, but just be prepared for how small it is!

I've got a Krugerrand 1/0, so I'm ready for a small coin!

Been saying the 1/10oz gold coins are priced very reasonably since the gold dragons last year. My 2 disappearing pennies worth is that the dragons will do much better than this year's much less popular zodiac.

For those who have bought the previous 1/10oz gold coin or received this snake coin, is the capsule a direct fit (the same size as the coin), or is it a bit bigger with a foam ring around the coin? Thanks!
