So close and yet so far... The foam appears to not completely cover the rim. Also, the capsule might not completely close... hmmmm... If the capsule is hugging the coin that tightly, could the pressure cause any damage to the coin? Or would the coin lack protection? Other than that, the appearance really isn't that bad. I would be happy with it. Also, if the capsule just doesn't seem to fit quite right for this coin, one can always use it for a Maple Leaf or a coin of the Wildlife series. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...

I was tempted to get a tube of this but after spending my money on Panda... Not much left for anything else for me... at the current price of 57.99 x 15 for a tube at Gatewest, it's very tempting indeed

Noticed bullion world still claiming only 8500 minted of the polar bear. I know this number seems ridiculously low for bullion ....There is only one way I see this as possible and that's if the dye broke suddenly and well before the targeted number was reached. This 1.5 oz is the first of it's kind and if there were to be a problem it would most likely happen on the first try. This would also explain why it is for the most part only available in Canada. We'll see I guess.

Not mostly only available in Canada. At first you could only get it in the USA.

They can be bought at all the RCM bullion dealers in Canada. Can the same be said for the U.S Dealers? Albern coins where I bought mine Had no info on production numbers which is odd. if you ask them about something they always say either to demand or the actual minted number. They are the official RCM exchange dealer in Calgary. If the number is not 8500 or been released publically at all Then who do bullion world and others think they are?....correct the description of the product! I believe there is AT LEAST one zero missing on the end of 8500.

as I said earlier post, A Mark bullion, a large US bullion dealer had this coin created for them exclusively and at one point lear capital was the sole north america dealer untill the canadian dealers complained, thus the situation today. the figures I been told A Mark paid to RCM regarding its production and at one time an exclusive deal just cannot have a 8500 mintage. Lear capital told me up to 500000 but they also took credit for commision of this coin which is not true. its a RCM created mess with more to come.

What your saying doesn't make sense to me. Even though you could be right. If the mint was going to do a coin for a third party in the U.S. with a uniqe design why would they put a polar bear and the queen on it?This coin says Canada on it and is as Canadian as it gets....with no privy markings. Americans tend to go with dead presidents or natives and animals slaughtered near to extinction on there money. The polar bear is endangered but you don't see any in D.C!

Bad Joke:::: If this were truly an American coin it would have a Guy wearing a Turban on one side and space shuttles Challenger or Columbia on the other!
