coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 03/20/2007 12:58 am Your coin was hit by something very hard in the middle before the wear came onto it. Sometimes people would use coins for washers, driving nails through the middle of them. Looks like someone might have tried this with this coin not realizing that the nickel was such a hard metal. britchesdg New Member United States 37 Posts	Posted 03/20/2007 03:30 am Thanks, I was wondering if that's what happened. I thought that if you would do that the coin would not be flat anymore. I guess the nickel was really hard. I need to post some pictures of my 1921 Morgan's to see if there is any important VAM'S. Would this be the right place? I am very interested in learning the different VAM'S. I have read many other sites like http://vamworld.wikispaces.com/ but it get quite confusing.
