I drill holes in Zincolns to use them as washers. You can't buy a washer at Lowes for a penny!
Harbor Frieght an entire box of assorted sizes Copper washers runs about $10.
A nut/washer/bolt factory by me sells them, Copper ones, by the pound.

When I was a teenager my one of my brothers and I would put them on the railroad track to see how flat they could get. Seems there wasn't much difference in thickness of the cents, nickels and dimes. Didn't do quarters, too many candy bars could be bought with one of those at five cents apiece
Isn't that a law that all kids MUST do that?

Not only is it wrong to do this to coins. I think its against the law to deface coins to the point
they can not be used in commerace.
Why would coin collectors damage coins? I can see making jewelry out of worn out coins.
But to outright destroy them and take thes away from generations to come.
Well to me this is just flat out WRONG.
There was a post some time back about all the things people do to coins. Sure wish one of the Moderators would link to that. You'ld love the replys.

Wasn't there a famous cowboy sharpshooter that would toss a silver dollar in the air and put a bullet through the center of it?
Not long ago a TV show called History Detectives tried to find out if a person that had a coin with a bullet hole was done by Anne Oakly. Also, Wild Bill was famous for doing that.
