Didn't realize I only had the notation on the 39D. 39 P&D are rev 40, the S is rev 38. None of the DDs or those types of varieties. I am pretty happy with the set as it stands, so I will work on finishing my other Danscos and then work on varieties like that. The Lincoln book is gonna kill me when I get to those first two pages. LOL

ratio, exactly! Asking for modern coins is like asking for a pile of horse turds. I mean I get that the old coins bring in more dollars, but not to the virtual exclusion of moderns. And here is what those fools don't realize. The guys that DO have moderns for my books, I usually walk away with classics as well. Look over in classic forum at my 1795 Liberty Cap post. The FIRST thing I looked at at that dealers table were his proof Kennedys. I snagged one of the silver proofs I needed for my Dansco. Then, because I have bought from him before and he has bought from me AND good deals both ways, I looked through his display cases and found that beauty. By having that 25 dollar modern coin, he made a good deal more selling me both. And how many dealers do you think I drop hundreds or thousands of dollars with that don't have moderns for me? NONE.

TenHalves...right? The new profile is HORRIBLE. If they were going to change it, they should have stuck with the 2005 obv. That one was cool.

Smoke, this is a really nice set. Very impressive. I had my Jeffersons in old Whitman albums. I just bought the 7113 (no proofs) from Amazon last week. I started transferring my coins to this album. Not done yet. I spent a fair chunk of change filling the first page also with very nice unc specimens. It was fun though. One dealer had boxes of unc Jefferson nickels that he was selling for $1 each a couple years ago. I bought several nice War Nickels and 4 1950 D nickels (what a find)! My book with no proofs is missing one coin, the 2009 P. Still hoping to find one in change ...

And I want to go on record to say that I DO like the new obverse on the 2006 to date nickels. The 2005 obverse is interesting and the older obverse is boring (IMO). I am glad they changed it. I just wish they went with the 3/4 view of Monticello in 2006. That reverse is much nicer, I think.
