Found at an older school over in the next county.Found about 4" deep along with a 2 more wheat backs from the 40's in the same area.Looks like it was plated at one time and made into a pendant.

That's a pretty cool find. Who would have thought to go through all the trouble for a cent? I like it though.

Maybe that is an older type bezel. Press-fit instead of held with a screw. Neat find

Yeah no screws,Appears it was just pressed in place then plated. The pictures do not show very well but it does have a gold tone to it.Weighs 3.5 grams. Simple & cheap jewelry for the 40's and 50's era.

That is a very interesting find. I have never found a pendant coin, but that is on m want to find list. You could set it lose or get a chain or rope for it. :)

If it determined to be attracted to a magnet, you will then have your answer.
