As I understand it, the BIG problem with this is the foam reacting with the coin and causing a blackening. So, without seeing it in hand there is a risk it is an ugly mess.

Take a look along the bottom of the obverse. You can clearly see the problem. No super close up of the reverse, because if you look closely it is far worse.

Colonial Acres make "STOREWIDE MOVING SALE", according to their moto:

"We'd rather SELL it than MOVE it!!"

http://www.colonialacres.com/m/cont...ntent_id=197

I've seen discounted items, also "Free shipping" on some of them.
So, IMO, worth to check.

I tried searching the Colonial site but it was kind of like coin roll hunting and sadly I just don't have the time. Good hunting to those that do!

Strange. I had the same experience. They are good at making things stick out. So was rather surprised they did not have a category that would link to the specials.

Maybe it is a marketing thing to make you go through everything.

Even at those discounted prices, Colonial Acres and other dealers are making money because they get a discount of 10-15%. So if a coin sell retail for $500, they could have pay as little as $425 for it.

Off course they make money, they are dealers but at least you not paying as much as you used to. They are a business and they have store front, do you expect to sell it at a lost? They only sell it at a lost if they really need to.

CC&C sells the "Autumn Bliss" + "$20 Canoe" for $139.95

Not the "best deal", but still attractive who missed both the coins and wants them.

Is the 2006 TIMBER WOLF 0.5 oz silver a bullion coin?

Check here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-TIMBER...em3386f6f813

It says that has a very low mintage.

Yes it's bullion. I guess low mintage is relative - total report is 106,800.

Arianzo, that's quite expensive for 1/2oz timberwolf. The 2011 1oz has the same design.

Thanks CC-Ottawa and Lostwords.
In fact, $45 is the price of Colonial Acres plus the ebay fees.

What I don't get is why a bullion coin cost $40 ... isn't supposed bullion means the metal value?

I think nowadays we are in a 3rd category called: semi-bullion.

Some folks call it semi-numismatic. Colonial Acres had the 1oz timberwolf for $40 a month or so ago...Keep in mind as well, these do tend to have milk spot after times..
